Meaning of 'Gakuen' a Japanese word.

Since I join deviantART, I found so many people have fan of Japanese manga and anime.
But not many Japanense are in this deviantART.
sometime I find people want to know the meaning of Japanese word in manga and anime.
So think i could give you some idea...
This time i tell you the meaning of "Gakuen" with is used in NARUTO "Ninjutsu Gakuen" for example,
"Gakuen" means school and could be primary, junior high and high school.
But most commonly used for high school and also private school like to call themself "##Gakuen".
"Gakko" also means school and all goverment owned school use "Gakkko"...^3^)/
But not many Japanense are in this deviantART.
